
2,000 social housing residences in Los Berrocales for the Community of Madrid
Madrid will promote the construction of 2,000 social housing residences in Los Berrocales.
Jorge Rodrigo, the Regional Minister for Housing, Transport and Infrastructure of the Community of Madrid, visited Los Berrocales to take a firsthand look at the progress of the most advanced urban planning development project in the city, where the Community has set aside land for the construction of up to 2,000 residences with some form of government protection, thus strengthening its commitment to improve access to affordable housing.
During the visit, he was accompanied by the Manager of the Social Housing Agency and the Community of Madrid’s Director General of Housing. He was also informed that the first residences are expected to be delivered in the first quarter of 2026.
In total, Los Berrocales involves the construction of more than 22,000 residences, more than half of which will receive some form of government protection.
